Moyse's Hall
This wide ranging collection is housed in a
building which dates back over 800 years, situated in the
historic heart of Bury St Edmunds. Throughout the museum, the
building's historic features are clearly visible. Moyse's Hall
has had a chequered past it was used as a tavern, gaol, police
station and railway parcels office before opening as a museum in
1899. Following extensive refurbishment, the museum reopened in
2002 with the addition of the Suffolk Regiment Gallery and an
education room. The important local archeological collections
and some curious local history artifacts are complemented by a
broad range of events for all ages.

Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 4.30pm. Weekends 11am to 4pm.

Adults £2.60, Children/OAP £2.10, Family £8.20.
